Early design and specification support

Our support starts at the earliest design and planning stages to facilitate fully integrated thinking on fire and acoustic strategies. We offer guidance on fire safety and noise control requirements for the building envelope and interior spaces, highlighting factors to consider in relation to the specific application, whether new construction or retrofit.

Working within the parameters of existing building design can be challenging with pre-existing materials to consider and design elements that are complex to protect retrospectively with standard solutions. We can identify the relevant Siderise product and system specification for your scheme. Early engagement services include:

Technical support

Site services support

Upon placement of a confirmed order en route to construction and prior to project completion, we offer a range of services to help build competency and ensure our products are properly installed from the outset – from verifying the installation complies with our instructions to reviewing workmanship standards.

This is because we know that even the most robust and secure specification can underperform if our products and systems aren’t installed correctly, putting the entire fire safety or noise control strategy at risk. Support includes:

  • Benchmark mock-up constructions to demonstrate adherence to design and specification
  • Onsite classroom and toolbox product installation training (ISO 29993: 2017 certified delivery method)
  • Dealing with tricky details
  • Validation of workmanship and installation characteristics to help prevent errors being ‘built in’
  • Flagging non-conformance for remediation before façade is installation
  • Co-ordinated Site Services Engineer visits with Building Control inspections
  • Periodic installation inspections in-person and via app
  • Uploaded photographic evidence of installation via app reviewed within 48 hours
  • Proactive resolution of issues and enhanced accountability through immediate reporting via app

Golden Thread support
