Siderise wins ‘Innovation Project of the Year’ at ASFP Awards 2025 for London's Olympia G-Gate Project

Siderise is delighted to announce that we have been awarded ‘Innovation Project of the Year’ at the ASFP Awards 2025, recognising our pioneering work on the G-Gate Building at Olympia, London in collaboration with Alumet.

This prestigious accolade celebrates our commitment to advancing passive fire protection and highlights the collaborative spirit driving progress across the built environment. We extend our congratulations to all finalists and winners whose dedication to excellence and innovation continues to raise industry standards.

The G-Gate Project at Olympia formed part of the £1.3 billion transformation of the iconic exhibition centre into London’s newest destination for entertainment, leisure and business, blending historic architecture with modern design. Siderise was tasked with delivering a tested bespoke 30-minute fire-resistant cavity barrier solution for the building’s oversized triangular façade fins—a unique architectural feature that presented a unique challenge, requiring a custom stainless-steel mesh basket and RH Rainscreen Cavity Barrier. This innovative approach demonstrated that it could achieve robust fire safety and compliance without compromising the architectural vision or overloading the façade system.

Rigorous testing at our UKAS accredited Innovation Centre, independently witnessed by Kiwa (IFC), confirmed the solution’s performance and integrity, setting a new benchmark for future projects. The mesh basket concept developed for Olympia has already inspired further innovations across our research and development teams.
