Supporting the evolution of building safety in India: 10 years with Allarch

Allarch 10 year award

Ten years ago, Siderise set out to find the right partner to help introduce a more robust approach to passive fire protection within India's rapidly developing construction market.

As awareness of fire safety has grown, so too has demand for better-performing building envelope solutions, stronger technical guidance, and a more systems-based approach to compliance.

Today, that partnership with Allarch has supported more than 600 projects and helped contribute to a broader industry shift towards fire safety, technical competency, and systems-based design.

More than a distribution partnership

When we first explored opportunities in India, the goal was never simply to find a product reseller. We sought a partner that shared our belief in technical excellence, long-term customer support, and the role fire and life safety solutions play in protecting people and property.

That search led to Allarch.

What stood out about Allarch was its established reputation within the architectural façades industry and its commitment to high-quality service, end-to-end project support and a shared belief that passive fire protection should be treated as a critical life-safety consideration - not just another construction product. This alignment of values laid the foundations for a partnership that continues to thrive today.

Allarch HQ visit

As Sreenivas, Global Partnership Director at Siderise, reflects:

"We felt that Allarch was more than a product reseller. They were focused on systems, on fire and life safety, and on helping customers achieve the right outcomes. From the very first projects, it was clear that both organisations shared the same vision.”

Helping shape a more informed market

While the partnership has contributed to more than 600 completed projects in India, the story extends far beyond project numbers alone.

When Siderise solutions were first introduced to the Indian market, acceptance was not immediate. Established approaches dominated the sector and many stakeholders were unfamiliar with alternative firestopping methodologies. Building confidence therefore required more than supplying products. It involved working closely with façade consultants, developers and project teams to share knowledge.

For Rahul, Business Head of Allarch who has been involved with the partnership since its early days, that commitment to technical engagement has been central to its success.

"Our role was never limited to simply supplying products. We worked with consultants, contractors and stakeholders throughout the process, helping build understanding and supporting projects from specification through to completion. Over time, that approach helped build confidence in both the solutions and the wider principles of passive fire protection."

Building trust through performance and support

A defining feature of the partnership's growth has been the emphasis on providing technical expertise and practical support to customers throughout the specification and construction process. This collaborative approach has helped establish Siderise and Allarch as trusted partners to the industry.

As Rakesh Ghai, Managing Director of Allarch, explains, the combination of product performance, technical documentation and ongoing support has created lasting confidence among contractors and project teams.

"Siderise support has been so great that our contractors are using the products again and again. The technical support, documentation and guidance provided to the industry have helped build trust and contributed to the growth we've seen together."

That trust has enabled the partnership to grow from a single project to more than 600 completed developments across commercial, residential, healthcare and hospitality sectors, helping raise expectations around fire safety performance throughout the market.

Investing in the future of India

The partnership's success reflects not only past achievements but also a shared commitment to India's future.

As the country's construction sector continues to expand, we remain committed to ensuring our solutions meet the specific requirements of the Indian market as they continue to evolve. A recent example is the successful testing of CW-FS Firestop to IS 18190: 2023, India's dedicated standard for perimeter fire barrier joint systems used within curtain wall façades, which has now been adopted into NBCS 2026 for India's high-rise market. The investment reflects our long-term commitment to India and our determination to support the market with solutions that align with evolving national standards and global best practice.

Looking ahead

As Sreenivas explains:

"Over the last 10 years we've seen regulations improve, stakeholder knowledge increase, and a stronger commitment to fire and life safety. With more commercial development taking place across India, we believe this is just the beginning of the journey."

Today, India remains one of the world's most dynamic construction markets, with significant growth in commercial development, urban infrastructure, and high-rise construction. Alongside these opportunities comes increasing emphasis on safer, more resilient buildings.

Looking ahead, there is significant opportunity to extend best-practice passive fire protection across a wider range of building envelope applications while continuing to support the industry's increasing focus on competency, compliance, and performance-led design.

Because while this anniversary marks ten years of collaboration, it also represents something bigger: a shared commitment to helping customers navigate evolving requirements, supporting best-practice specification, and bringing tested passive fire protection and acoustic solutions to the next generation of projects across one of the world's most exciting and rapidly developing construction markets.
