Purpose of this position
To support the successful execution of strategic and operational projects by coordinating project activities, maintaining documentation, facilitating communication, and ensuring project milestones and deliverables are met. You will contribute to the full project lifecycle and play a key operational support role to Head of Project Management and stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the management and coordination of cross-functional projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including plans, risk registers, and action logs.
- Monitor progress against project milestones and budgets using established tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
- Support internal and external stakeholder engagement through regular updates, meeting coordination, and high-quality presentations.
- Proactively track and follow up on actions from project meetings, ensuring accountability and resolution.
- Assist in the implementation of change management activities, promoting adherence to governance frameworks and company processes.
- Conduct analysis and research to support decision-making, identifying risks and opportunities within project scopes.
- Contribute to best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in project delivery and collaboration.
Qualifications
- A degree or equivalent experience in Project Management.
- 1–3 years of relevant project support or coordination experience.
- Knowledge of formal project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, APM PMQ, Agile) preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project (or similar tools).
- Familiarity with digital project management platforms (e.g., Planner, Trello, Smartsheet, Asana).
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple workstreams, prioritise effectively, and work independently.
- Understanding of project lifecycle stages and operational delivery models.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing, engineering, or construction environment is advantageous.
