Siderise joins National Federation of Roofing Contractors, supporting its expansion into façade industry

"We are proud to become members of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC)as it expands its horizons to promote industry best practice and drive innovation in both the roofing and now cladding sectors."

Founded in 1892 by 40 slate traders, the NFRC now has around 1200 members, making it one of the most influential trade associations in the UK. For decades, it has advocated for high standards of workmanship through strict vetting and inspection processes for members, as well as offering technical advice, guidance, and training opportunities. Whilst its focus has historically been on roofing, it is increasingly extending its reach into the cladding sector, offering a more holistic package of support for building envelope contractors.

As experts in passive fire protection for the facade, Siderise is pleased to be joining the NFRC, supporting its calls for high technical quality and safety — especially in relation to fire performance. External Affairs Director, Chris Hall, explains the significance:

“We have been developing, manufacturing, and supplying passive fire solutions globally for almost 50 years, and we are always searching for new opportunities to better understand the issues our customers face. We are eager to collaborate with others in the industry to collectively find new and better solutions to fire safety within the built environment. The influence the NFRC has in our sector is profound, and we look forward to contributing to its ongoing efforts to raise industry standards and practice.”
