Pre-Sales Engineer

Purpose of this position
The Presales Engineer is responsible for supporting the sales and technical processes by providing accurate commercial and technical documentation, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of quotations, submittals, and compliance requirements. The role bridges sales, technical, and operational functions to ensure successful project acquisition and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage CRM systems (Salesforce, EFACS, Power BI) including project setup, opportunity tracking, customer registration, and reporting.
• Prepare and revise detailed quotations based on client requirements and LPOs.
• Perform quantity take-offs and material estimations for projects.
• Follow up with clients for LPOs and support cheque collection to ensure timely order processing.
• Maintain strong client communication to identify project opportunities and support sales forecasting.
• Prepare daily and monthly sales reports to track performance and invoicing.
• Develop and process technical documentation such as undertaking letters, warranty certificates, and supply certificates.
• Prepare AutoCAD drawings and coordinate with the technical team for review and approval.
• Prepare compliance statements as per project specification and sustainability questionnaires.
• Compile compliance statements, submittals, environmental documents, and response statements.
• Coordinate with site services for sample preparation, training, and inspection schedules.
• Ensure all documentation meets UAE regulatory and project-specific requirements.

Job function, technical knowledge and skills

• Technical or Presales: 3 years (Required)

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering in a relevant field.
• Experience in presales, technical support, or construction-related roles. Familiarity with passive fire protection systems is an advantage.
• Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
• Experience with AutoCAD and technical documentation. Understanding of construction drawings and specifications.

Advantageous Requirements

• Knowledge of UAE regulations and documentation processes is an advantage.
• IFE Level 3.
• Any other certifications and licensure requirements to carry out tasks in assigned region.
