Marketing Manager

The Company

Siderise is a global leader in the design and manufacture of specialist insulation materials. The company’s innovative products are used in a variety of sectors, notably including building facades and construction.

The group employs approximately 100 staff and has an annual turnover in excess of £30 million. Core products include cavity barriers and fire stops for high-rise buildings.

The company is growing rapidly in the UK as well as in international markets including the Middle East, Europe, India and Australia.

Boasting a reputation for industry leadership, continual product and services innovation, cutting edge technology and quality, we are looking for a Marketing Manager to lead, develop and manage our marketing strategy and plan in order to support our continued growth.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a proactively planned Marketing Plan; management of the approved Marketing Budget; management of all marketing initiatives from planning to campaign delivery, activity analysis and enhancement; ongoing development of brand position and Marketing Strategy; management of the marketing process, measuring success of campaigns and activities; to maintain a close working relationship with sales and key partners to monitor and report on competitive activity, market trends and opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Marketing Plan - To develop, document, and maintain all elements of the Marketing Plan; to report on the status of planned campaigns.
  • Marketing Budget - To take ownership of the marketing budget and create the annual planning calendar for all marketing campaigns and promotional activities.

Marketing Reporting:

  • Budget reporting - To manage and report all elements of Marketing expenditure.
  • Metric reporting - To develop insightful reports on marketing metrics; align campaigns and expenditure to scale of opportunity and ROI.

Marketing Communications:

To take responsibility for delivery of marketing communications; to help devise and deliver marketing communication campaigns to support high level initiatives and new product launches; to co-ordinate activity with external providers including PR, Social Media communications, advertising and editorial features.

Marketing Campaigns:

To work closely with the Sales and Technical Teams to develop new marketing campaigns; co-manage product launch campaigns to drive awareness and sales.

Brand management and collateral development:

Producing and writing copy for a range of collateral products including brochures, case studies, newsletters, social media content and website; development of all marketing assets such as corporate literature, key account presentations, project portfolios and event collateral; to coordinate activity with external providers including for design, photographic and print services.

Events / Conferences / Trade shows:

Working closely with the sales teams to support a network of international distributor partners across 8 key markets to develop, coordinate and execute marketing events and communications activity to drive sales. This will involve coordinating and organising events, managing the pre-event and post-event CRM campaign activity, running campaigns and promotions, writing case studies and developing national and international marketing materials.

The Candidate

We are looking for a driven and capable individual who can demonstrate a track record of marketing function success.

You will have experience of managing the marketing process in a SME – ideally from the construction / manufacturing sector.

You will need to be commercially aware and be able to understand and demonstrate how the marketing process feeds into business growth.

Ideally you will have experience of marketing strategy development.

Requirements:

  • You will be a qualified Marketing professional who has a minimum of three years’ experience of marketing in the construction industry
  • You will be educated to degree level in a Marketing; Communications; Business Administration or an Engineering discipline
  • You will have attained a CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing or similar
  • You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work across departments to share knowledge
  • You will have a strong writing ability and be able to create compelling content
  • You will be experienced in Adobe InDesign
  • You will have experience of working with CRM systems
  • You will have attention detail, with an aptitude for technical information and the ability to distil key technical product details into easy to understand copy

Additionally:

  • Microsoft SharePoint experience would be beneficial
  • Event management experience is desirable

Technical Services Fire Engineer

We are now looking to recruit an experienced and qualified professional to join our Technical Services team in support of our continued growth.

The Role

  • To provide technical support to architects / contractors / installers / distributors for standard products and standard applications;
  • Undertake technical review of Key Projects; review functional performance specification for Siderise products, project drawings and/or Fire Strategy; develop project specific technical Proposals and/or project specific Details;
  • Undertake preparation (and/or review) of Engineering Judgements to support technical submittals on Key Projects

 

The Candidate

 We are looking for an experienced individual who has a proven track record of delivering technical solutions within the built environment – ideally within the facades / curtain walling / cladding sectors.

Consideration will also be given to applicants with a fire testing and/or product certification and/or inspection background.

You will be qualified in one of the disciplines of Fire Safety, Fire Engineering or Façade Design – and be receptive to further external training and formal development.

A good understanding of building physics (fire, acoustics, thermal, structure) and knowledge of the passive fire protection market and how it operates with respect to design, specification, procurement and installation practices is required.

In addition, a solid understanding of Building Regulations, British, European and, ideally, other international standards relevant to construction, is desirable.
